Afton Glen is located in Springfield and comprises about 140 single-family homes built in the mid 1980s. Most of the homes are colonials or split-levels with exteriors of brick and/or siding.

Afton Glen’s home-owners association keeps the community well-maintained and clean. The neighborhood has a small park with quiet woods and a stream, as well as a playground in the wooded area. And if you like to swim, the Cottontail Swim and Racquet Club is nearby.

Located just south of Fairfax County Parkway near the intersection with Pohick Road, the neighborhood is convenient to I-95 and VRE, making commuting a breeze! With a walk score of 14, you’ll need your car for running your day-to-day errands. However, there’s plenty of shopping and restaurants close to the neighborhood. If fresh air is your thing, Middle Run Stream Valley Park is less than a half mile from Afton Glen, and more than a dozen parks are within two miles of residents’ front doors. Currently, one home is actively listed for sale in Afton Glen. It’s a four-bedroom, three-bath split level with an asking price of $515,000. It’s been on the market for 10 days, and offers 1,302 square feet of living space.

One home is currently under contract in Afton Glen, and it’s a Wethman Group listing! It’s a 2,174-square foot colonial with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths.  We got multiple offers on the property after just one week on the market!

In the past year, four homes have changed hands in Afton Glen. Three were colonials, while the other was a split level. The homes that sold sat on the market for 136 days on average and had an average sales price of $492,750.
